The model SunokoVent owes its development to an idea of the Japanese Quadraspire distribution. There they had a bestseller in their program with the well-known Q4 L, but wanted to be able to offer a special version for especially heavy components and especially hot-running amplifiers - of course also with sonic advantages over the Q4. Continuous slots in the SunokoVent levels now make it possible to dissipate the waste heat from tube amplifiers or Class A power amplifiers. At the same time, the mass of the individual layers is also reduced. Only after long listening experiments did Quadraspire find the right arrangement of the cutouts.

With a trick, the load capacity of the individual levels could be increased to 120 kg: In the SunokoVent, the columns sit within the individual levels in a brass ring that distributes the tensile forces evenly. At the same time, the 32 mm concave columns, with which the model is equipped as standard, do not rest directly on the wood but only have contact with the brass ring above and below the level. This allows a clearly defined coupling of plane to column.

After years of experimentation with different MDF densities and the realization that even the use of solid wood could no longer achieve any significant improvement on the rack, the use of multilayer solid bamboo brought a new sonic breakthrough. Today, for the bamboo version of the SunokoVent, five dried layers of bamboo are cross-glued, resulting in a very stable and at the same time homogeneously dissipative layer.

The 32-mm concave columns of the SunokoVent series are available in black or matte silver paint. Both column variants are available in heights of 10 cm, 14 cm, 18 cm, 21.6 cm, 25.6 cm, and 32.6 cm. The dimensions correspond to the real heights available between the levels.

Das SunokoVent ist in fünf MDF-Ausführungen und einer Massivholz-Version verfügbar. The wood levels are finished with a semi-gloss finish - high-gloss finishes look great, but don't work well sonically with Quadraspire racks.

Sound tips
1. the SunokoVent comes standard with spikes and floor glides. The spikes sound better and should be used if possible. If you want to save your floor, you can use specially made Quadraspire spike bases for this purpose.
2. sonically, solid bamboo is superior to veneered MDF floors.
3. Those who want to place a turntable, CD player or streamer on the top level should consider the Bronze upgrade. This upgrade is even more elaborate for the SunokoVent than for the Q-Series racks. This upgrade can also be retrofitted.
4. the rack achieves optimal dissipation when the individual components are hard-coupled to the floors. We recommend the Cardas Golden Cuboids wooden bases for this.
