The new top model of the Piega Premium loudspeaker series is the Premium 701, a beautiful floorstanding loudspeaker equipped with the new LDR 3056 tweeter. The ultra-thin cone of this unique tweeter has a newly developed suspension and is perfectly controlled by a massless damping system. Thanks to the optimized magnet system and a new foil layout, the tweeter has a higher efficiency, greater bandwidth and linearity.

Piega's enormous development and production effort pays off in terms of sound quality and the audible result is the finely drawn resolution and precise reproduction of each individual tone.

Two 140 mm MDS cone drivers are responsible for the bass, one of them additionally for the midrange. Thanks to its dynamic and powerful sound, the Premium 701 can be operated in almost any room.

First and foremost, it's the combination of state-of-the-art chassis technology and the 30 percent stiffer aluminium housing construction that gives the new premium trio this wonderful sound quality.

While the tried-and-tested LDR 2642 MKII tweeter from PIEGA is used in the two smaller models, the new LDR 3056 tweeter for the first time resonates in the Premium 701, the flagship of the series.

Designed for particularly long-stroke movements, the MDS cone drivers ensure impulsive, dynamic and powerful bass performance even in medium-sized rooms. Thanks to the rounded housing shape, no disturbing standing waves can occur inside the housing, so that a clearly contoured, discolouration-free radiation of all medium and low frequencies is guaranteed. The column loudspeakers now feature floor plates with spikes for absorbing disturbing frequencies, which further enhances the pure sound reproduction.
