"Curious as I am, I have subjected the 140s received today (21.03.2016) to a test in my HiFi studio. The test system consisted of the two primary components CD32 and integrated amplifier I32 as well as my beloved Dynaudio Confidence C2. The components were connected with the Mundorf Zendo silver/gold XLR cable and for the speakers the Vortex Nano Shield Speaker Cable LS-5 was used. If you now think that this high-end hi-fi system has to sound from a standing start, you're absolutely right. But only actually! Since I'm not a child of small things, I didn't think I'd spill anything, but rather make a big effort. I placed a 140 activator basalt plate under the Dynaudios crossover, one under the primary integrated amplifier and one under the CD drive of the CD player.

I waited a minute and was very curious to see what would change in the sound. When I finally pressed the play button, a soundstage appeared that contradicted any description. So as I said, the system sounds really good in its basic state, but with the four 140 Activator basalt plates I raised the system to a level that can only be described as better than live. My favourite singer Sophie Zelmani and her instruments in the 10 tracks of her CD Soul were suddenly perfectly arranged in the room, which was now also much bigger. There were no more loudspeakers to be heard. Her voice gained such a lightness and it was now possible to perceive even the smallest detail in the music. Simply ingenious."
