For over 25 years, Origin Live founder Mark Baker has been looking for a turntable top that fixes the LP to the turntable but does not produce negative sound effects. It was not until 2020 that he succeeded in developing such an accessory himself. Origin Live's Gravity One reduces vibrations when playing records and thus provides a clearly perceptible sound improvement. It reveals a greater richness of detail in recordings and makes it possible to perceive instruments more clearly separated. The bass sounds deeper and more defined. The spatial representation contains more stage depth.

Gravity One works with all types of turntables. However, rubber mats reduce its effectiveness. Gravity One works especially well together with the plate mat from Origin Live.

Attention
Gravity One is not designed to flatten wavy LPs, as it only weighs a harmonising 67 grams. Plates with radial run-out can only be flattened by a plate iron.

Application
To use, simply place an LP on the turntable and then place the record weight on the centre spindle. This can be done during operation. It is not necessary to stop the turntable for mounting or dismounting.
Gravity One works with all types of turntables. However, rubber mats reduce their effectiveness. The plate weight works particularly well together with the plate mat from Origin Live. Gravity One reveals a greater wealth of detail and allows instruments to be better separated. The bass sounds deeper and more defined. The spatial representation contains more stage depth.

structure
The Gravity One panel weight consists of several thin layers that are only loosely connected to each other. It is part of the construction principle that these layers move against each other, so please DO NOT tighten the screws on the underside. This is detrimental to the sound. Gravity One is delivered already correctly adjusted.

Correctly listen
Listen at a higher level. Subtle changes are then much more noticeable than at low levels.
Gravity One has a different sonic effectiveness on different LPs. The absorption of high-frequency resonances caused by the scratching of the needle in the groove depends on the musical material. So if you have the impression that treble is suddenly missing, check whether only the tonality has changed, because there are now fewer sibilants in the music, while the fine high-frequency information is no longer masked.

Precautions and care
Due to its thin layers inside, the panel weight is sensitive to damage caused by falling. Should you nevertheless drop and break it, please send the panel weight to the German distributor, who will send it on to England for repair.
Please clean the weight only from the top side with a slightly damp cloth. The underside should not get damp.
