In contrast to normal wire wound resistors, metal oxide layer resistors do not have any residual inductance. For this reason, metal oxide film resistors are absolutely preferable in all cases where pulse speed is important, such as in the mid-high range. The designs we offer have a continuous load capacity of 2.5, 4.0, 5.0 or 10 watts, but are much more resilient in the pulse range.
