The V5 Polaris is a compact and elegant power cleaning and distribution board with a length of only 510 mm, a width of 80 mm and a height of 50 mm. It has six separately switched outputs, all of which are connected directly to the circuit board. Most power filters of this type have interconnected, series-connected outputs - which is not very clever, as the push-pull interference generated by the connected electronics is then superimposed from one output socket to the other. The electrical architecture and design of the Polaris is far superior to such filters.

The unique delta filter topology of the V5 Polaris is ten times more effective than the recommended standard, delivering more than 20 dB of current optimisation at 1 kHz (reference 600 ohms), improving to almost 42 dB at 10 kHz. The leading experts agree that at 10 kHz radio frequency interference (RFI) begins to affect performance. This is also related to the amplifier's ability to suppress power supply interference. This electrical engineering ensures first-class filter performance for both common mode (RFI) and differential mode interference. The traces also have the standard double copper layer and are silver plated.

This unique circuit delivers clean current to its six outputs - each independently isolated to prevent cross-contamination from push-pull interference. This is combined with Isotek's proprietary KERP© (Kirchhoff's Equal Resistance Path) technology to ensure equal resistance and power delivery to all outputs. The internal cabling is of the highest standard, a unique 2mm² design with pure 6n oxygen-free copper conductor strands, each silver-plated to provide low resistance and high current capability. An aerospace grade fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) dielectric with very low dielectric resistance is used to protect the conductors and provides an ideal dielectric for the conductor contact of the internal power supply system.

In addition, the new V5 version increases the overvoltage protection to 45,000 A, which not only protects the circuit but also your valuable connected equipment via IsoTek's unique sequential protection system.

The V5 Polaris also includes a System Link connector, this allows the existing 2 outlets to be extended whilst maintaining star earth wiring using only one wall socket for the entire system.

A wall bracket system is also included which allows easy mounting of the product behind your component rack if desired.

The internal cabling of IsoTek products is matched to the IsoTek mains cables. By maintaining similarities in design and material properties, optimum conductivity is guaranteed. The award-winning EVO3 Initium power cable is also included.
