NEWS FROM KABEL-MANUFAKTUR: LS-804 AIR AS THE PERFECT INTRODUCTION TO AIR TECHNOLOGY

For over forty years, in-akustik has been developing high-quality cables and learning every day. The realisation that air is the best dielectric or insulation for the audio sector was the driving force behind the development of air technology, which to date has led to the 4004 Air, 2404 Air and 1204 Air series. The worldwide resonance and enthusiasm for this technology has prompted in-akustik to launch another product: The LS-804.

The reason for this step was that in our opinion a cable should not only fit the sound of the system. It should also be in a reasonable proportion to the value of the components. With the reference LS-804 we have therefore adapted the Air technology for another class.

ELECTROSTATICS
Everyone knows this effect when you take off a sweater with a high synthetic content and it crackles and sparks. The reason for this is that the integrated plastic material spits out electrical charge, which then discharges again. The same happens in the dielectric, the insulation material of a cable. It "absorbs" electrical energy like a sponge and releases it again at a different time. In our case it is about parts of the audio signal. A measure of this is the cable capacitance, which is undesirable. It influences the transmission characteristics to a large extent and leads to interactions with the connected electronics. The ideal solution is an air insulation like the one realized with the Air-Helix.

AIR-RIBBON
A new concept was developed to realize the complicated Air technology in a different price class. The Air-Ribbon has four wires that run flat and not helically next to each other like the big LS-1204, 2404 and 4004. The wires are also held in position by specially developed clips and cross-connected at the end of the cable. In this way, the electrical parameters capacitance and inductance are finely tuned to each other. In particular, the LS-804 makes work easier with fewer mono-momentary amplifiers and ensures relaxed music enjoyment.

CROSS LINK SUPER SPEED WAVEGUIDE
Of course, the ladder itself also plays an important role. They consist of high-purity copper wires braided onto a PE core. A wafer-thin varnish layer on the wires prevents eddy currents within this conductor and additionally protects the copper from oxidation. Another advantage is the bifilar structure of the conductors. It ensures that the magnetic fields generated by the current are partially compensated. This structure ensures neutral behaviour of the conductor over a wide frequency spectrum.
