In 1991, six years after their masterpiece "Brothers in Arms", Dire Straits released their last studio album "On Every Street" after a break of several years and a temporary separation. They delivered a great final work in which the band simply made really good music in classic British understatement style without marketing pomp and forced continuation of their previous successes.
The audiophile re-release as a hybrid SACD plays true to life with a generous groove space, nuanced details and vibrant colours, Knopfler's finely modelled guitar lines come across transparently. The remastering for Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab was carried out by Rob LoVerde. The hybrid SACD comes in a mini-LP cover with a 16-page booklet. A must for every audiophile collection.
