Clearlight Audio RDC
Clearlight Audio RDC (Pucks, Spikes, Absorber)
Clearlight Audio RDC cones and RDC absorbers are ideal for decoupling speakers, subwoofers or HiFi electronics from the footprint.
What is RDC?
There are many ways to deal with the vibration-sensitive electronic components. Clearlight Audio has developed a versatile composite material that, in combination with sound components, has a positive effect.
This RDC (resonance deadening components) consists of a mixture of various fine granules such as rubber, quartz sand or acrylic. Depending on the mixture, the density and structure of this material changes and produces a finely graduated damping flexibility.
If disturbing energies penetrate into the RDC material - and this has to be deduced - these vibrations have to pass through each individual granulate particle, whereby the direction and density are constantly changing and the energy eventually runs out of energy.
Thanks to RDC, this is possible with a comparatively low mass expenditure. The different material densities also result in uniform damping over the entire frequency spectrum.
The information on the load capacity of the individual cones is intended as a guideline, which should serve to ensure that your installation areas (floor tiles, parquet, etc.) cannot be damaged in any way.
