The inexpensive audioquest Forest 48 HDMI cable supports ultra high speed data rates from 18 to 48 Gbit/s, offers an ARC and resolutions from 4K to max. 8K-10K depending on the length.
The 48 Gbit/s 8K-10K are supported with cable lengths up to 5 m. From 8 m length, the Audioquest Forest 48 HDMI cable supports 18 Gbps 4K-8K.

All new 48 Gbps HDMI cables from AudioQuest can carry video up to professional 10K Ultra-HD. The impressive 48 Gbps data rate is made possible by four balanced audio/video pairs, each supporting 12 Gbps. The latest technology is of course backwards compatible with 4K displays.
Video up to 10K
AudioQuest 48 Gbps HDMI cables are fully backward compatible with existing equipment and have the bandwidth required for video with resolutions up to 10K and resolution/repeat rates up to 8K/60 and 4K/120.
HDR (High Dynamic Range)
All AudioQuest HDMI cables support HDR (High DynamicRange) and dynamic HDR. HDR content enhances the contrast of the image for blacker blacks and brighter whites/glossies, providing higher colour saturation and brightness. In addition, 4K Ultra-HD content enables a wider colour palette.
This combination of technologies results in more realistic HDR images with greater perceived depth. Dynamic HDR (e.g. HDR10+ and Dolby Vision) allows HDR to be optimised for each frame, as opposed to HDR settings that are set once for the entire programme. Currently, HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision are the most popular HDR formats.
The AudioQuest 18 Gbps and 48 Gbps HDMI cables are compatible with all these HDR variants - found on Ultra-HD Blu-ray and all major streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Apple TV+ etc.
ARC (Audio Return Channel) and eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel)
The HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) transmits audio from a TV to a soundbar or AV receiver, making system set-up easier and more flexible. Previously, the ARC capabilities of the hardware were already fully exploited for lossy (compressed) 5.1-channel surround sound.
Current HDMI 2.1 hardware supports the Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC), which significantly increases bandwidth and transmits uncompressed, lossless, high-resolution multi-channel audio, including Dolby TrueHD and Atmos, as well as DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS:X.
All current generations of AudioQuest HDMI cables have the conductors and bandwidth required for eARC's advanced sonic capabilities. The ARC channel conductor pair is controlled for the direction of travel and runs in the opposite direction to the four pairs that transmit information to the TV - ensuring outstanding audio reproduction.
AudioQuest eARC Priority models also feature four silver-plated audio/video data pairs at Forest 48 level - but with a far more powerful single data pair for TV audio output. By upgrading the ARC data path alone, audiophile quality is available at a fraction of the cost of upgrading all 5 data pairs.

4K/8K
AudioQuest 18Gbps High Speed HDMI cables have the bandwidth required for video up to 8K/30 (8-bit, 4:2:0), which is 7680 x 4320 resolution (over 33 million pixels) at up to 30 frames-per-second (fps). 24 and 30 fps are the frame rates for almost all movies and many TV shows.

eARC
HDMI hardware’s previous ARC capabilities max out at lossy (compressed) 5.1-channel surround sound. Not only do all generations of AudioQuest HDMI cables “with Ethernet” support ARC, but in order to ensure superior audio performance, the ARC-channel conductor-pair is internally controlled for direction, running in the opposite direction from the 4 pairs that carry information to the TV. Upcoming HDMI 2.1 hardware supports Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC), which increases bandwidth dramatically to support uncompressed and lossless high-resolution multichannel audio, including Dolby TrueHD and Atmos, and DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS: X. All AudioQuest HDMI cables “with Ethernet” have the conductors and bandwidth required for eARC’s enhanced sonic capabilities.

HDMI-AKTIV
AudioQuest Pearl, Forest and Cinnamon HDMI make use of Active Frequency-Equalization to enable full 18Gbps/4K UltraHD performance from 10 to 15 meters.
Hard-Cell Foam Insulation
Hard-Cell Foam (HCF) Insulation ensures critical signal-pair geometry. Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and circuit board materials all absorb energy. Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Hard-Cell Foam Insulation is similar to the Foamed-PE used in our more affordable Bridges & Falls cables, and is nitrogen-injected to create air pockets. Because nitrogen (like air) does not absorb energy and therefore does not release any energy from or into the conductor, distortion is reduced. In addition, the stiffness of the material allows the cable's conductors to maintain a stable relationship along the cable's full length, producing a stable impedance character and further minimizing distortion.
Solide 0,5% Silber-Leiter

Directionality-HDMI
All audio cables are directional. The correct direction is determined by listening to every batch of metal conductors used in every AudioQuest audio cable. All signal conductors controlled for digital-audio direction in AudioQuest HDMI cables, and care is even taken to run the conductors used in the Audio Return Channel in the opposite direction to ensure the best performance for that application. Arrows are clearly marked on the connectors to ensure superior sound quality.
HIGH SPEED DATA CAPACITY
HDMI standards and capabilities have improved significantly since DVI first evolved into HDMI. All generations are backward compatible. However, not all previous HDMI cables can transmit the full 18Gbps of data required to optimize today’s HDMI 2.0 equipment. While there is currently no 4K/60 4:4:4 software requiring the full 18Gbps capability of HDMI, some sources (UHD Blu-ray players) can be set to “up-sample”, requiring 18Gbps capability. Up-sampling often should be done in the TV rather than in a previous component — but that’s your decision. AudioQuest HDMI cables with "Exceeds 18 G bps" on the box front are guaranteed to exceed the requirements for all possible HDMI data streams.
