The greater precision and tighter manufacturing tolerances required to produce HDMI cables with up to 48 Gbps bandwidth make AudioQuest's proven components and techniques even more important than ever.

The FireBird 48 uses 100% Perfect-Surface Silver conductors that are directional for the best possible rejection of high frequency noise. Lossy graphene is added to the carbon layer placed between metal layers around the 4 FRL + eARC pairs, and all conductors are surrounded by a ‘global’ lossy carbon layer.

48 Gbps Bandwidth
AudioQuest ‘48’ HDMI cables can transmit up to professional 10K Ultra HD videos. The bandwidth of 48 Gbit/s is made possible by 4 symmetrical audio/video pairs with 12 Gbit/s each. The precision and tighter manufacturing tolerances required to produce HDMI cables with up to 48 Gbps bandwidth means that many of AudioQuest's proven ingredients and techniques are more important than ever.

8K/10K
AudioQuest 48Gbps HDMI cables have the bandwidth required for video with resolutions up to 10K and resolutions/refresh rates up to 8K/60 and 4K/120. All AudioQuest HDMI cables are fully backwards compatible with existing 4K displays.

Conductor from 100 % Perfect-Surface-Silber (HDMI)
AudioQuest HDMI cables use solid long-grain copper, silver-plated copper or Perfect-Surface Silver to improve noise dissipation and overall reproduction. The conductors in the FireBird 48 are made from the best conductor material used by AudioQuest: 100 % Perfect-Surface Silver.

Level-6-Noise dissipation: 72-V-DBS + Graphen + Global Carbon
Conventional ‘100 per cent shielding’ does not provide sufficient protection against the increasing effects of WLAN, mobile phone and satellite radiation. All 19 conductors in AudioQuest HDMI cables are directional, reducing harmful RF noise by ‘deflecting’ or routing it away from the most susceptible circuits. In Level 5 noise dissipation, lossy graphene is added to the carbon layer placed between metal layers around the 4 FRL + eARC pairs, and all conductors are surrounded by a ‘global’ lossy carbon layer. The Level 6 Noise Discharge, AudioQuest's most advanced and comprehensive tool for combating induced high frequency noise, incorporates all the sophisticated techniques used in the other models and adds AudioQuest's own patented 72V Dielectric Bias System.

eARC: 100% Silber + Level-6-Noise dissipation
Because sound matters, the eARC conductors in AudioQuest's latest HDMI cables get the same love and attention, the same high-quality metals, directional conductors and noise-reduction technologies as the main AV data pairs. The HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) transmits audio from a TV to a soundbar or AV receiver, making system setup easier and more flexible. Until now, the ARC capabilities of the hardware were already fully utilised with lossy (compressed) 5.1-channel surround sound. The latest HDMI 2.1 hardware supports the Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC), which significantly increases the bandwidth and transmits uncompressed, lossless, high-resolution multi-channel audio, including Dolby TrueHD and Atmos as well as DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS:X.
