Why you need the ADOT MC1 Kit

Analogue audio is delicate, as are digital music signals. Audio data must be handled with the utmost care to achieve the best sonic results promised by today's high-resolution digital music files.

Digital signals are also susceptible to the influence of noise and interference. This additional noise damages the integrity of the pulse edges. This uncertain transition point of a noisy pulse edge leads to timing errors and jitter.

Notes on the SINGLEMODE UPGRADE FOR ADOT
With the SINGLEMODE-UPGRADE, ADOT offers a complementary product that brings a tangible improvement in sound: the singlemode upgrade kit.

The familiar orange OM2 fibre optic cable set with the specification for multimode can now be replaced by a more specific and better-sounding OS fibre optic cable set (2 x SFP singlemode, fibre optic OS).

The most striking differences are the quieter and more "analogue" playback of the streaming files, which is clearly perceptible due to the higher specification and the transfer quality.

Multimode technology works with broadband light and a relatively thick fibre optic core (50 micrometres) and can therefore usually only be used ideally over shorter distances (range of approx. 500 - 550 metres/
